There has not been a female winner of “American Idol” for five seasons. It also came as no shock that this season’s winner of “The Voice” was also male. Actually, there has yet to be a female winner on “The Voice.” Do Americans only idolize men?
I always wonder what influence the industry has on who wins, and how much is really America’s vote. Males already make more money in entertainment then women do. I think it’s about time women get the recognition they deserve. “American Idol” 2013, maybe?
Ladies, the hottest judge on “The Voice” is back on the market!
Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and girlfriend of two years, model Anne Vyalitsyna, have split up.
Anne V told People magazine that the two had an amicable ending and will continue to support each other as friends.
The two first met at a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue release party in 2010 and have been together since. Anne V appeared alongside Levine in Maroon 5’s video for “Never Gonna Leave This Bed,” and Levine performed as Anne V strut her stuff on the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Dec. 2011.
Maroon 5’s lead singer Adam Levine started his own recording label called “222,” and already signed his first artist, Matthew Morrison, better known to “Glee” fans as Mr. Schu or Will Schuester.
Levine will release Morrison’s second album in Spring 2012.
“Starting my own label has been a longtime goal of mine, and I am thrilled to be at the point in my career where it is finally happening,” Levine told Billboard magazine.
As a coach on “The Voice,” Levine is no amateur to discovering talent, and I am excited to see what other big names come out of 222 Records.
